Hike and then Hike Again

Many great hiking trails with diverse terrain. Camp sites were beautiful. Will plan to check this park out again.

We visited for the candlelight hike and it was fantastic. Luminaries line one side of the 1.5 mile Lakeview Trail. There are a few spots when a flashlight was handy so as not to trip on tree roots, but most of the time we kept it turned off. Some people had glow sticks/necklaces/etc., which was fun to see. The weather... More

Came to the state park with my friend who took my hiking into the forest part of the park and the view is just amazing! He had a pass so the attraction was free but there was so many people sunbathing and enjoying the heat and swimming in the lake. There was people on their boats and it was such... More

This state park has it all. Beaches, trails, canoe and kayak rentals. Fishing and swimming. You probably could not even walk on the main road for 8 hours and walk it all. Camping numerous spots. They even have winter camping sites, for those die hard campers. It's just a beautiful state park.

My favorite State Park in Wisconsin. Multiple hiking trails. Hills & valleys. Splendid driftless landscapes. Clean beaches with well maintained bathrooms and picnic areas. A gem! Spacious camping sites. Beautiful views throughout the park.

We really enjoyed our stay here--able to catch Verizon 4G to work and camp at the same time. Bonus that there was a dog beach, minus points that it was really small and next to the road. Odd campground rule: can't leave dogs back in the camper to do an in-town excursion (which totally defeats the purpose of traveling via... More

This is a very beautiful park. The trails are very well maintained for hiking, biking and horseback riding. We don't have horses, but we loved seeing people there camping with their horse (special part of the park). The campsites are very specious and plenty of green in between each site! Nice and private. The beaches are really nice! The dog... More

This was our first trip to this very large and beautiful park in southern central Wisconsin. The short version of this review is that this is a large very well maintained park with literally something for everyone! The views from this park are Christmas card worthy. The over 5,000-acre park is nestled into the hills, woods and prairies left behind... More

Delightful and gorgeous. We went for a long hike on a well marked path - and then refreshed with a swim in the lake. Beautiful, clean, well-maintained.
