I attended a wedding held at this great place. It provided everything you could ever need, including a small, sweet chapel. There is a beautiful barn with a wonderful great room for music and dancing. The kitchen was completely stocked with all the accoutrements for hosting a large gathering. The yard was set up for corn hole and croquet. There... More

This was historically a nice place for a wedding on the edge of the original prairie. My daughter called it the "Little House on the Prairie" wedding! The Venue was great, except for the 950 mile drive from Pennsylvania. They provided all of the tables and chairs and the musician stage and some amplifier and microphones for the reception, and,... Been returning to FLV for forty years. Nothing like it anywhere. Good, clean fun, educational, multicultural, accepting. Try it. Chances are like us you'll become a regular.

My wife and I are ballroom dancers but we like to experience other types of dance. We became acquainted with Cajun dancing a couple of years ago and we love it. We found out about the Cajun dance weekend at Folklore Village and we have attended the last two years. Folklore Village is a wonderful place dedicated to maintaining ethnic... More

The Christmas tree lit with real candles is the most beautiful tree I've ever seen. The potluck was more than enough delicious food and the folk dancing easily done and fun.

This place is an unusual and well-thought-out educational opportunity for children! It is rare to find such a wonderful place to take children.

Folklore Village hosts many cultural weekends focusing on music and dance. I've attended the Cajun Music weekend with my sister for four years running, and it is now a family tradition. Folklore village has a large building with a beautiful dance floor. Music workshops are held in classrooms downstairs, as well as the church and the farmhouse kitchen. The muscians... More

Our daughter had her summer wedding reception at Folklore Village, a beautiful setting overlooking farmland valleys. After looking at many venues, this was by far the best option for her reception. For anyone thinking of using this lovely facility, I have listed the pros and cons we encountered. Pros: - large flat area of land on the property for setting... More

Our daughter got married at this facility and it was a perfect setting. The staff was excellent to deal with. They had suggestions on vendors to use were very accommodating and spelled out clearly what our options were. We used all of the facility including the old church (remember to turn the air on ahead of time) the bunk house... More
