Plum Loco Animal Farm is a permanent home to over 60 farm animals that visitors can pet and feed including ponies, donkeys, miniature horses, horses, 4 breeds of goats, 3 breeds of sheep, pot-bellied pigs, geese and chickens. Visitors can purchase feed pails from our ticket booth that include a scoop of grain for the sheep and goats and a pound of fresh carrots sticks for the ponies, donkeys and horses. The 1880's style general store has a farmer's market, cash register, shopping carts and items to buy and sell. We also have an 8 foot farm table complete with barns, animals, fencing, trees, tractors and the like. For older children and adults, we offer a variety of board games (giant chess, checkers and connect 4) as well as popular lawn games.Visitors may picnic in the shaded cedar-log gazebos or selecting ample seating on the lawn that adjoins the play farm.Plum Loco is especially popular for children ages toddler through 8 years of age and animals lovers of all ages.We are handicapped accessible and offer free WiFi. This is an incredible place for kids probably 7 and under. We have three under that age and spent a strong three hours and could have stayed longer. Their favorite part was by far the play village with several different buildings and pretend play opportunities. My kids really liked feeding the horses the carrots too! I also loved how personal... Visited Plum Loco on the recommendation of a family we met at our resort. My granddaughters, ages four and two and a half, were at a perfect age for this place. There is a tiny play village (diner, vet office, general store, barn, etc) that was a big hit. The girls couldn't get enough of it, and were sad to... More

A perfect way to spend a morning or afternoon with young children. The entry fee was reasonable. The grandkids loved feeding the animals. You pay a minimal amount for carrots and other food for the animals. The grandkids played in the miniature store and especially liked the vet clinic. They didn't want to leave. We would go again.

We chose this farm because we were staying in Egg Harbo so it was close by, plus it got good reviews. We spent 1 1/2 hours here with a 4 and 6 year old. They enjoyed the animals but had more fun playing in the playhouses and riding the vehicles. Loved the donkey shadow who began to bray at the... More

We've had a family vacation in Door County for 12 years now and each year make a stop at Plum Loco. This is not your familiar petting zoo but an animal rescue operation in a farm setting featuring horses, ponies, goats, sheep, fowl and pigs. We've watched Lalanie the pot bellied pig grow over these years from a piglet to... More

I have two small children, ages 3 and 5. They loved feeding the animals. You pay extra for the bucket of food. It has carrots and grain in it. You do pay to get into the farm. Along with the animals, there are also little playhouses upon entering the farm. This was actually my kids favorite part! There were kids... More

Our 3 kids loved this place and stayed n played here for several hours. Without a doubt this is the best place to go in Door County for families with kids under 12 or any teens who love animals. Only wished there was a place for mom n dad to refresh with a glass of wine(sangria would have been outstanding)... More

Thank you so much for your kind words about Plum Loco. You're right! Kids can spend hours in the play-farm village and hopefully future visiting families will allow for enough time for this activity. And although we would love to offer adults some wine, beer, or Sangria (we get this request a lot) - unfortunately - this is one attraction... More

I was not pleased with our experience at Plum Loco and I'm not one that is hard to please. I had read such great reviews on this place and was very excited to take my family and friends there. We arrived at this "farm" before the rest of our group and mentioned this to the man and woman at the... More

Kids had a lot of fun here, would have liked to stay a few hours. Owner was very nice and their mission and approach to animals is special.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review for Plum Loco, Susan T. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit. Many visitors don't realize how much time children can spend in the Play-Farm Village. We often hear that folks need a few hours there. Hope to see you again! More
