We visited today, the daughter and myself. Free samples of all wines available and slushes made from wine. I found this place the most personable. I completely agree with other reviewer if you want hoity totie this isn’t your place. Great wine, strawberry rhubarb my favorite and I purchased 2 bottles of wine. Since wine isn’t my thing until this place, I’d give this place a high rating. Along with owner and employee who were very personable and easy to talk to. By far my favorite place

Several good wines to try and purchase. Went a couple times with friends. We really enjoyed our visit.

My Fiance and I have a goal to go to every winery in the state of Wisconsin. This was stop #34. The winery is out of the way down a country road, we enjoyed the scenery on the way. The wine its self was average but the owner was very friendly. He lets you try every wine for free (about 10), if you buy a bottle. If you don't get a bottle its $5 a tasting, great value! We liked the mixed berry wine the most, there is a very nice deck to sit out on in between the bluffs.

We give a hearty endorsement to this little winery and its owner/proprietor (who interrupted his repair work by climbing down off his roof to serve us during our off-season, early December visit). What a wonderful conversation he afforded us while he served ample tastings from his collection. We enjoyed most and were happy to buy and walk off with a nice Frontenac as well as a (also nice) N'ice dessert wine (the winery's version of an ice wine.) The tasting room is tad simple (okay with us--we've visited simpler!). In warmer seasons we can imagine the attractive ambience provided by the very pretty outdoor environs offered by Whispering Winds' location along the classically winding Blue School Road. When you visit, be sure to ask the proprietor the origin of the road's name and where/how to enjoy a very lovely ride along it, into the rolling Wisconsin landscape.

This was our last stop for the day while doing the Southwest Wisconsin Wine Trail. The winery is tucked away outside of the tiny town of Fennimore, among the rolling hills of Southwest Wisconsin. It is a small operation, and it is nothing fancy. The wines were quite tasty, and my favorite was the strawberry and rhubarb one. That one I had to buy! The people were friendly as they could be.
