Confession- I love lighthouses….whenever I travel, where ever I go I try to arrange to see as many lighthouses as possible (HINT-Door County, WI has a nice concentration). I tend to judge lighthouses on a combination of the photogenic nature of the lighthouse and it’s...More

The grounds the lighthouse is on is very beautiful. The lighthouse is old and very neat looking. I wished we could have gone on a tour of the inside. They do have a small gift shop inside. We did go in that. There is also...More

The tour guide was so nice, and so knowledgeable, and the lighthouse has been restored (it's still in use, though) and it made our trip to Door County even more special. The views are spectacular, but as one of the other folks said, if you're...More

This lighthouse was very different from the popular Cana Island lighthouse, but in a positive way. Whereas Cana Island is virtually empty of furnishings, this lighthouse is fully furnished with period-appropriate pieces. You hear all about the families who lived there, and even see some...More

We had to wait a bit for our tour, as a tram was due any minute and had dibs, but it was worth the wait. The facility was nicely restored and the guide was able to share a wealth of information about how the lighthouse...More

The Eagle Bluff Lighthouse is just one of many lighthouses in Door County. We visited most and learned a lot about lighthouse operation and the history along the Great Lakes. Well worth the stop as the guides are very knowledgeable and friendly.

We paid $5 for one hour as we entered the park. It is a pretty drive on the way to and from the lighthouse within the park. There are some scenic spots of the water along the way with areas to pull over. At the...More

This tour was way better than expected! We learned on the tour that the son of one of the longest-serving lighthouse keepers has helped to restore the lighthouse to the era in which he grew up. His support and knowledge of the lighthouse helped make...More

I wouldn't do it- there is bow hunting and muzzleloader-only gun hunting in the interior of the park.

The distance from the parking lot to the lighthouse is not very far, however taking the tour does require standing for an hour and you must be able to climb stairs. I hope this is not a limitation for you. Sincerely, Trudy... More

Unfortunately, as a historic site, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse has limited accessibility. Currently the only room that is accessible is the winter kitchen. Trudy Herbst, Executive Director
