Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked from S'Algar, stopping for a break in Alcaufar, before crossing the beach and picking up the horse track to the Torre. It wasn't a particularly hot day nor blazing sunshine but we had come with small rucksacks containing swim suits, towels etc. They proved a real drag. It's not far but 'rugged'. Go up empty handed except for camera and water.

The Torre is not accessible inside but lots of good views all round. And you will have earned yourself a beer!

Last year we went to the British fort at the enterence of Mahon harbour, it was excellent. Last year, even after 930, we tried to walk to this tower, but it was too hot. This year, late summer was cooler, so we managed the walk and beyond, to the next resort. Very imposing building and good views over the sea.

Spent an hour or so walking from Alcaufar around the headland to the Torre. Nice views along the way and from the headland that this sits on. Shame you can't go inside and no shade so got very warm!

Me and a friend decided to walk up when the temp was close to 30 degrees. The incline was steep in some places and rocky so you will need good footwear. The walk takes approximately 20 mins and the heat and climb was worth the spectacular views.

stunning building , not an easy walk to it as ground very uneven to it , but the view is worth it when you get there

Lights up at night and looks beautiful, but best walked up to early in the morning to watch the sun rise...also a lot cooler. Used as a watchtower to look out for enemies.

The coastal walk CAMI DE CAVALLS between both watch-towers is both a scenic and an easy part of the 15day walk around Menorca. After seeing both towers I had a swim at some of the small beaches:CALO ROIG DE ALCALFAR,PLATJA DE L AIRE-PUNTA PRIMA,CALA DE BINIANCOLLA,CALA BINIBEQUER,CALA DE BINISAFULLER before taking the bus back to MAHON at BINIBEQUER VELL(1,70euro).

The quiet, simple beauty of the location will entice us to return as it does other guests, year after year and in some cases for 30-40 years!

Took a walk to the Turret this afternoon. I love Alcafar and have wanted to take the time to walk to the Torre a few times but usually we are with friends or family or eating at the lovely beach side restaurant in the hotel (the mixed fish grill is excellent in the summer), but naturally it is winter and everywhere is closed so we walked out.

It was a beautiful evening and there is a great view of Punta Prima Lighthouse from the location too

Easy walk, but advise good footwear. Lovely views. Continue on from here to Punta Prima, next village.
