You have to pay $8 (adult) to see the big muskie up close and inside. Tour thru the garden and museum, entrance thru the Gift Shop.

Any marketing promotion for Hayward port the North Woods shows a picture of the"big walk in muskee". It was an inevitable stop on our first trip to Hayward. I didn't realize there was a whole museum built around it! Any fisherman will love the displays of motors, lures, boats, and pictures of record catches. There is a lot of information... More

You have to be really into fishing to appreciate the numerous world records and photos, as well as old fishing boat engines. I am sure the huge plastic fish would be a hit with young children.

If you have children or an avid fisherman this is a must. It is all about fishing. I loved it and so did the kids and other adults. This is a must.

We visited on a rainy day for something to do around Hayward. Unless your huge into fishing and it's history, or willing to spend $8 for a picture with a large fish statue I probably wouldn't recommend. There are countless lures, boat motors, and pictures of hall of fame fish/fishermen. My husband enjoyed it but it got a bit repetitive... More

$8 seems excessive for what you get. A few giant fish statues that can be seen from the parking lot. Taxidermy fish, old tackle and boat motors. We spent maybe 20 minutes here and out the door.

Just a fun place. Great photo opportunities with all the giant fish. The fish hall of fame is really interesting too - big trophy fish! Cute, small playground for kids with a fish theme!
