Already acclaimed for their permanent exhibit featuring life-scale, interactive exhibits, and audio and video technology. This is unlike most museums. You are actually in it & take an active part. U see how people during that time lived, pop culture, & really learned how the nation ticked, & the Civil War still lives in our memory. This is three hours plus to fully absorb everything. When u read this, stop & plan your visit.

kids love to go here and look around at the exhibits. The exhibits change and are all worth looking at. They also offer girl scout events where the children can dress up in electic clothing etc..

This museum actually surprised me by how good it was. It is not just the usual museum. Every room is very interactive and it almost makes you feel like you are part of it. You can sit next to different characters and hear their real life stories throughout the museum. Great museum for a smaller city!

This is a museum I had not heard about before. It is a very modern museum and has quite a bit to see. The information in the museum is interesting. If you are a Civil War buff, you would love the place. The area around the museum is also interesting.

The videos, permanent exhibits and temporary exhibits are all worth your time here. Allow at lest two hours for a first visit. I have been here five times this year and I became a member.

I was disappointed. The major display is heavy on reading posters with historical facts, fake looking mannequins and costumes, simulated settings that are not very realistic, and a significant lack of actual artifacts. I spent 8 years as a docent, program chair and executive board member for a Victorian museum in West Michigan so have designed displays, wrote and implemented... More

I really enjoyed to this museum again. I had gone when it first opened but hadn't been in several years. The short video that is shown was made in Old World Wisconsin which I thought was a brilliant use of local resources. The museum itself has a great collection of artifacts and information tidbits. The train was one of my... More

Who knew there would be a Civil War museum in Kenosha, WI?! We were really impressed with this place -learned a lot about the civil war - the day we went we were practically the only people there (Thursday a.m.) so we had the place to ourselves. Cool 360 degree theater screen with a short movie playing every hour, knowledgable... More
