- roach808Juneau, Alaska814 contributions"It's all yellow . . ."Look, I hate mustard. Like, it makes me gag to even smell it. But, I do love kitsch. This hits that spot for me, while I'm sure for kitsch & mustard lovers - you'll be in heaven. And thankfully, no mustard was smelled in the making of this review. It's a small museum in the world of museums, but it is an extensive mustard collection which you could spend quite some time looking at it. Is it all professionally curated? Nope. Is it clearly someone's passion? You bet. Worth a quick trip in and by some doodads with Mustard Museum on there and tickle your kitsch-loving fancy.Visited July 2023Written 24 July 2023
- Pegggus183 contributionsI actually learned some thingsLike some others, I don’t even particularly like mustard. That didn’t matter. This museum is fun. You actually learn a bit about the condiment and seeing all the different jars of mustard from the US and across the word, as well as the vintage containers, was actually very interesting. Some do the displays are tongue in cheek and very entertaining. And after that you can’t help but spend time in the gift shop and will find something to buy because there’s so much and it’s so quirky. Well worth a visitVisited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 4 September 2023

The museum is quirky but I really enjoyed the tasting bar upstairs. Lots of tastes I'd never had before. Best thing I had was their own brand mustard. Go home with some local mustard to impress your friends and family!Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 September 2023

This is an amazing collection of mustards and collectibles about mustard. There is also a free mustard tasting bar. Included is a store filled with all kinds of novelty items. It is self guided, so it can take as little or as much time as you want. The staff was super friendly

I have been to a couple museums dedicated to mustard and let’s be realistic as they are mostly for shopping. This one was quite nice with a few nice displays and plenty of merchandise to purchase.

As a pun enthusiast and a frequenter of unique museums, I heartily recommend this stop on your travels (even if you need to go out of your way). We started downstairs to watch an introductory film, marvel over unusual trivia, and wax nostalgic over artifacts - Girl with the Most Mustard, a cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, great works of art re-worked to include a mustard theme, stories about the origins of mustard. Bring your sense of humor to make the most of this quirky and fun showroom. Upstairs is a tasting room for mustard aficionados and novices alike to sample and/or purchase a few jars of hard-to-find brands or maybe just the usual brands. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
