We heard about the DOMES in Milwaukee but never had a chance to visit until recently. We especially enjoyed the Christmas decorations in the Show Dome. WOW! The other two DOMES were very interesting. We definitely recommend the Domes for a stop on a visit to Milwaukee.

This is a great place to visit. It feels like a trip to another world, especially in the winter months in Wisconsin. Under incredible geodesic domes that citizens helped construct are three distinct habitats that change completely every few months. Besides the amazing plants, the Domes offer concerts and even host a farmers market. A Milwaukee must do.

Most botanical gardens have one defined area BUT here you have 3 different areas for a varied ecosystem. Good signage to help pique your interest and educate.

All three Domes are back open as of 10/29/2016. It is worth the visit, especially when the holiday show is set up.

Been there before with my kids and went back again on a last second decision. Even with only one dome available it was fabulous and the girls loved it :)

Desert dome was under some improvement, so they offered us big discount on entry fee. I Loved tropical dome. Very nice plants, flowers, fruit trees. Place wasn't crowded and was really quiet. nice spot to go for hour or so.

Not all domes are currently open due to repairs, however this is such a nice place to visit and discover rare plants and on occasion insects (depending on the exhibition that is ongoing) for distinct hemispheres.

They have three large domes and each one has a different climate. They way they had it laid out was wonderful and the selection of plants was spectacular.
