My family of five visited the zoo over Christmas break. The week between Christmas and New Year's was free - which made for the perfect family excursion. I have visited the zoo many times over the years and find it to be well maintained and enjoyable to visit. This was the first time visiting in the cold, which obviously is... More

This zoo is a gem! The exhibits are so natural, the flow of the zoo is classic. Lots of enrichment activities for young and old, take a ride on the zoo train, the carousel, the zoomobile, catch a sea lion show, a pony ride or even a camel ride!

Travelled here with my SO after Christmas, we had been meaning to check out the zoo for a couple years now. It was fantastic! It was also a free day during the holidays which was a nice bonus. It was a cold day and some of the animals were off exhibit because of that fact but the animals that were... More

I have been going to this zoo for 50 years, and it is spectacular! First as a kid myself, next with my kids, and now with my grandkids, and it never fails to hit the mark as a first-class outing! The exhibits and settings are creative, humane, and well maintained. Walkways are wide, level for the most part, and spotless.... More

Between Christmas and New Years Day the Milwaukee County Zoo is free to the public, even those of us who don't live in Milwaukee County. We had the boons of unseasonably warm weather, and baby tigers. It was good to see so many people and so many animals outdoors enjoying the sun. The animals who ventured outside were particularly active,... More

I have been going to this zoo since I was a kid. Loved the train and the gorillas. It seems like every time I go something is being constructed, but I guess that comes with an older zoo in a harsh climate.

The zoo is undergoing renovations of the North American mammal exhibit, but they have moved the animals to different viewing sites, so we still got to see them.wonderful exhibit areas for the primates and apes. Very natural looking and seemed to be interesting for the animals. Big cats exhibit was also terrific! We got to see the baby tigers this... More

Been going here for many years. Highly recommend getting a zoo pass which includes admission and parking. We go several times a year and this pass pays for itself several times over. Many animals to observe along with several attractions.
