Both the house and the art were interesting, however, I thought it was a bit pricey for what there is to see. We were done in about an hour.

My family visited this museum today and found it to be hidden treasure within the city. It has one large room and a smaller one with art of local artists. The rest of the museum was Charles Allis' home. All of the rooms were decorated...More

Interesting to walk slowly through the house and enjoy the, details. The ceilings, the fireplaces, the marble stairway and the bowling alley in the basement. $5.00 entry for seniors. Worth it. Parking is on the street which can be difficult.

What was that? Some half rate art school work mixed in with a 19th century mansion. Poor art, poor juxtaposition. Nothing worked. It was like some tried to decide to make hip art in a space that wasn't right for it and the art was...More

Fun to tour an early 1900s house. The exhibits vary in their interest. The current history of burlesque is just OK unless you like this genre.

Well preserved home with art galleries on Milwaukee's fashionable east side. The marble entry is quite unique. Attended a special event which included a tour.
