Novice cheese aficionado or dedicated turophile, you'll find something here to fit all tastes. It's not just worth a visit, it's a moral and gustatory imperative.

Off the well-beaten path in the midst of corn-fields, it is a gem of a shop connected to the cheese factory. They have a nice variety of local cheeses at prices that are way better than found in touristy shops in town. The Limburger is...More

If you like that "stinky cheese" this is where you should come and get it. They also make award winning baby Swiss cheese, which is super good. Cheese prices were amazingly reasonable. Must stop if you are in the area.

This is the only place in the United States that makes Limburger Cheese. If you buy ANY Limburger that's made in the United States, no matter who distributes it and puts their label on it, it's made right here at this factory. We were excited...More

This cheese factory was several miles north of Monroe. We learned about it from the staff at our motel and stopped there on our way to Baraboo. The retail store was just a small part of the factory with a limited selection based on their...More

It would be nice if they provided some list of local distributer so I can get my fix. My local Sprouts here in Smyrna stopped carrying it (cuz I went on vacation for the summer and stopped buying it...)

I have eaten cheese in all parts of the world and in Germany and Belgium, where strong, pungent cheese originate, but nothing like Chalet Cheese! There Beer Cheese is even better than there Limberger. But their Limberger is the best! I love their cottage industry...More

If you like Limburger Cheese, come and smell it and take some home, freshly wrapped or slightly aged. You can enjoy, in the same room, watching it being hand-wrapped by the same people that have wrapped it for decades, The people at the small outlet...More

I don't think they ship in small quantities. You can only buy in person at the cooperative in Monroe WI. Wisconsin Cheese mart carries their Limburger and well as an excellent Blue that is also made in Monroe.
