I bike this tail every week and I can say the Illinois Section of the tail is hands down muc better. The trimming of trees or lack of and the tail surface is crap. Seems like it always had big wash outs our pits.

We rode from Monticello to Monroe. Well maintained. It's nice to ride a trail that has a lot of shade. Easy grade and very scenic. I would highly recommend this trail.

I've been on most of the major bike trails in Wisconsin, & this is one of the most scenic. Most of it goes thru wooded areas but there is the occasional bridge. All of the towns along the trail are very biker friendly.

This is one of my favorite trails to ride in WI. It runs from the IL stateline all the way toward Madison where it connects with another trail. The Badger Trail is unique because it has the Stewart Tunnel near Belleville. This trail is challenging...More

There is a series of trails in the Madison Area, if you were to stay at the Super 8 Madison South you could catch the Cannonball Path which intersects the Badger State Trail near the northern terminus. I cannot vouch for... More
