I took my 2 grandchildren to visit Bookworm Gardens last fall. I had taken my class there 2 years ago when I taught. The children in both groups absolutely loved the time there. The interactive story books seemed to be brought to life. The children felt they were part of the stories they had read in viewing each of the... More

The gardens are beautiful and whimsical. They are beautifully planted to the themes of children's storybooks. There are books available for children to read and hands on activities for children of all ages.

Bringing stories to life! I've read some of the stories that Bookworm Gardens offers to my kids. It's even neat as an adult to see the stories come to life

I love to visit Bookworm Gardens. I find it so enjoyable because it features many of the books I loved as a child. The Gardens allow children to explore the books they have read. They are encouraged to be active and use their imaginations. It is fun to play in the Big Yellow Bus or sit in the Covered Wagon... More

This is truly an amazing place for a town of about 50,000 people. It is a pleasant walk through groomed gardens to visit scenes right out of fairy tales and children's stories. There are regularly programs run by volunteers to read to young children and to get them excited about reading. Next to the UW Campus, it is a quiet,... More

I visited this place in the evening with lots of fall lights, food, and music. The kids were thrilled with all the activity stations, beauty of the plants at night, and trick or treating goodies. We weren't even out of the parking lot when the kids asked if we could go back the nextyear too!

Really there are no words to describe the magnificent world of the Bookworm Gardens. The moment you step through the beautiful iron gates, you enter into a world full of imagination and creativity and where there are few rules. Different themes from both classic and modern books are intertwined throughout the interactive gardens. Based off the book, Little House on... More

For a family of 6 to drive to & explore for FREE (donation is a nice gesture of course) that just can not be beat!!! Such a cool place if your kiddos love reading children's books like we do. Right away we saw "The Giving Tree" and the kids were so excited! Visit during the week if you can because... More
