We chose the afternoon sail rather than the sunset sail. We thought that the sunset sail would be too cold this time of year. We were right. When the sun went behind the clouds, it got a little chilly. Dress appropriately because it's worth it.

2 pm cruise on Green Bay was a true "Tall Ship" experience. Capt. Tim and 1st mate Rick did an excellent job sailing the schooner and teaching us about the ship, sailing around the world, and Door County maritime history. Very relaxing.

I took my two kids, ages 8 and 11, with me on the sunset cruise and it could not have been a better experience. We were on the Edith M. Becker and there is just something so relaxing about being on a ship of this...More

I'm not a fan of boats, but this was a wonderful experience. Beautiful September day, moderate winds, friendly crew, experienced captain (a woman). The Edith Becker was a great introduction to sailing. We thought the price was very reasonable.

Great sail on the lake. Mickey was very informative. It is an older wooden vessel; 65 ft sailboat . Chilly, carry a light jacket or sweatshirt, depending on weather forecast, some small white caps, they set the sails, gave some history. If you like the...More

No experience required, so this is a great way to see what sailing is like. We've sailed for 40 years so we're used to pushing a boat a lot harder, but Sail DC wants to make sure novices are comfortable and enjoying themselves - nothing...More

I would recommend this as a great event in Door County. The staff let some of us raise the sail. The views of the sunset are great. I liked the history lesson on the boat as well.
