In all fairness I have been here in two years. We used to order the famed Corsica Bread and pick it up while we were in town Columbus Day weekend. They rarely had one for us even though we had placed an order and arrived at the time we said we would. The last time I got a woman who... More

They are known for their Corsica bread which is phenomenal but pricey at 8.99/lb. A bread like no other and they do offer samples. They have a restaurant which is open for breakfast and lunch, a deli, and good selection of wines. You can eat at the indoor counter or outside weather permitting. Yes we did buy some Corsica bread... More

Always swing by for the Corsica bread. Wonderful staff (barista was memorable and knew i could use a cappuccino). Can't speak to anything but the bread, so I won't. This is one of the few places in the DC where price equals quality.

We have only gotten baked goods here to go but stop every time we are in Door County. They have an olive oil bread called Corsica bread that we have never seen anywhere else and it is AMAZING!!! That alone is worth the stop, but all the baked goods are delicious.

Visited on a brisk Door County December Monday which is a non-baking day, but also 40% off all bakery items. Corsican bread is usually on sample and is very tasty. Also has a coffee bar, deli, and restaurant.

The food here is very good. Be prepared, though, to be nickeled and dimed. I had a quiche and it was yummy. My husband had fried eggs and bacon. The waitress asked if he would like toast and what kind. We were quite shocked to later learn it wasn't included! $2 extra for toast! Who serves fried eggs without toast?... More

The moment you open the door you know you have entered someone's labor of love. The intoxicating smells of bread, pastries and coffee, the lighting, the polished wood floors and the perfect mix of music, and the genuine friendliness of the owners and staff invite you in. This is more than a bakery, it is an expression of love and enlightenment.... More

I've been to DC hundreds of times. The expectation is that every store is lovely, all bites are tasty and service is excellent. If not so, then one really can't survive because the competition is fierce and the standards are as high as the prices, no matter where you go. With that being said, I was so unexpectedly charmed by... More
