This was a waaay better tour than the lower dells!! There are some really pretty sandstone cliffs here and nice history to the area. You're out on the boat for a good amount of time for adults. The only thing I didn't like was that the kids working for the boats were basically supposedly soliciting for college tuition:-l. Other than... More

If you're planning a boat tour, the upper dells is the better of the two tours. You get to see a lot of nature, neat rock formations and go through short hikes through the woods. They also include a stop at Witches Gulch, which is amazing. We live within a few hours of the dells and visit every so often.... More

Fun boat ride (a little long for young children). Two stops to explore if I recall, one place having a snack bar and rest room. Maybe 2.5hours? Wouldn't do it but every 5 year or so.

We decided that the Dells would be a Great stop over on the way home from Minnesota. It broke up the long ride and we took the time to eat lunch and take an afternoon boat tour. Beautiful day on the water.

The weather was cold and rainy, but Kate our boat captain made the ride very enjoyable and fun. Before the tour ended the sun came out and the colors were at their peak.

We saw a lot more territory by excursion boat at a slower pace than by Ducks; very different and very scenic. The two stops at Witch's Gulch and Stand Rock were interesting in their own right. We were able to stretch, and see some interior formations that could not be seen by boat. The German shepherd leaping to Stand Rock... More

We were so looking forward to this boat tour of the Upper Dells this past weekend. It turned out to be a windy, cold, dreary day, not exactly what you would choose to be out on the river. Fortunately, we had dressed for the occasion so we were quite comfortable. The boat has an indoor deck which is just fine... More

Katie was our boat Captain and did an excellent job of explaining all the history and scenery of this beautiful area. She had an upbeat personality and obviously cares about her passengers having a great experience. She personally enjoys what she is doing and it shows....Heard her say more than once, "What a beautiful day to be here".... Like many... More

I lived in Chicago and it took till I retired to visit. Don't wait. But do go in off season to avoid the crowds as I did. The resorts are half price and most of the attractions are open. The upper dells boat ride has 2 stops. One is Witch's Gulch and do take the walk on the boardwalk to... More

We took this ride on the Marquette, one of the boats affiliated with the Original Wisconsin Duck Company. This is a relaxing and peaceful trip with two stops. The first was Witches Gulch, a long, narrow walkway culminating in a food stand. The walk is not difficult and very picturesque. The second is stand rock. This walk may be a... More
