The Nic has many interactive activities for young and old. The museum is housed in an older building downtown and the inside has been renovated and is very nice.

There is a Discovery Center for the kids, as well as fantastic galleries with rotating exhibits. We always visit during Casper's Annual Nic Fest, when there is free admission and lots of excitement going on all over downtown. They also have live music every Wednesday...More

The Biennial fellowship exhibition showcased outstanding artwork created by Wyoming Artists selected as visual arts fellowship recipients. The work was unique, beautiful and thought provoking. The fiber art of Georgia Rowswell was exquisite, a must see.

They charge $10 per person to see their exhibits. Very expensive for the small size of their collections.

We love art and are always supporting local art institutions when we travel. The Nicolaysen was a nice stop, particularly during the Eclipse, when the museum extended the show of Jenny and Aaron Wuerker's beautiful exhibition. As for the entrance fee - was it really...More

We appreciate the local artists and their wonderful landscapes of the surrounding area, but felt it was just an average art museum. It is a beautiful building in a location just two blocks from downtown. Just wish they had curated a bit more art into...More

Great collection of art worth stopping by to see. Featured artists displaying their art. The entrance fee is $5.00. There is also a discovery area that I didn't have time to see but I bet it's fun for the kids!
