    It was a great experience!
It was such a great experience shooting the Gatling gun that I ended up buying one for myself! Paul and his staff are the best! I highly recommend you go visit and shoot with them, throw an ax (so much fun and easier than you think) or see their collection of animals. Electric shooting range for the whole family. I just can't say enough about how great this place is. Even if you don't participate they have a comfortable and relaxing seating area to just visit. If you miss it you're missing out!

    Unforgettable experience!
As a visitor to Wyoming from England, it was a revelation to be able to handle and shoot some historic and iconic guns. The CFE guys were great, very professional, and full of good stories connected to the guns I was firing. The hardest thing is choosing your weapons! Thanks fellas you made a British cowboy dreamer very happy!

    Good experience
Having travelled to the USA from the UK we decided to give this experience a go. So glad that we did. Everything was explained very carefully and Alex was a great tutor. Health and Safety is at the forefront and we felt very safe and comfortable throughout the experience. One of us fired a "western" style cowboy gun and the other a Glock. We were able to take photographs at the end and came away with our targets.

Great shooting range and tourist experience
The trip to Cody and the experience at this shooting range was awesome. Alex took care of the three of us and made us feel welcome and safe. He is a really nice guy! We shot AR 15, MP5 and of course the Gatling gun. I highly recommend visiting this place, especially if you do not have shooting ranges at home. You won’t regret this.

We spent the morning in the firearms museum then brought it to life at the cody firearms experience. Shot everything from 1790 musket (black powder), hawken rifle (percussion), to 1896 winchester (modern cartridge). Each came with a brief history and overview of operation. Great fun and memory i wont soon forget.

Very well run place, we had a fun and perfectly safe experience! We had instructor Bruce, he was very patient with us and with our kids, explained everything in a very clear way, made sure we enjoyed our time at the range, and didn't rush us at all - we had great time and would come again. The historical weapons they have there are very interesting, and the Gatling gun, of course, is an experience in its own. Takes a bit of an effort to shoot (not unmanageable). You can also buy a t-shirt to shoot with the Gatling gun and take home as a souvenir. Highly recommended!

We had a really great visit to the Cody Firearm experience. There is a huge choice of (modern and old) weapons to shoot with and the people who work there are all super friendly and have a story with every weapon. For $49 you can shoot 14 rounds with a pistol or rifle. For $79 you can choose from a machine gun with 40 bullets.

Our choice fell on a Desert Eagle, Henry rifle and a Colt revolver. The fourth person went as a spectator (additional cost $9). Safety is top of mind here! We first received a safety briefing, hearing protection and safety glasses from our Guide Alex. Then we were allowed to go to the shooting range. Again a safety briefing, feeling the weapon and 2 dummy shots. We took turns shooting and there was plenty of time for photos afterwards. Alex was really a top Guide. He took his time and also advised how we could best make the pictures and videos, @Alex the slow motion with the Desert Eagle is insane:)!

We've shot before in Vegas, but here in Cody it felt much safer, more relaxed and therefore much more fun. I can highly recommend this location. So be sure to go here!

My boyfriend and I loved this experience!!
Our instructor, Bruce, was so knowledgeable and made our experience so fun and informative. It was such an immersive experience and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the rich firearm history of the west. I hope you’re lucky enough to get Bruce as your instructor!!

Knowledgeable staff, unique guns to shoot and ax throwing! We had the best experience with our 12 and 13 year old kids shooting guns. We shot a 1860 Henry 45, an AR15 and watched a Gatling in action. While it was your turn to shoot, the knowledgeable staff member would educate us on the history and interesting facts about each gun. Not only were they knowledgeable, but so friendly and thoughtful. Next time we pass through Cody, no doubt this will be our first stop, and bring friends and family along with us!

We took our 14 year old son to Cody Firearms experience. They have an amazing collection of weapons to choose from. The Range Safety Officers were thorough in their instruction and provided very interesting history for the selected guns. I wish we were in town longer so we could go back and experience more of their collection. I highly recommend visiting here.

These guys are just awesome! First time for a couple of us in the family and the experience was so wonderful for the kids, they went back again a couple of days later to shoot the Gatling gun and get their t shirts.

We were so impressed with the professionalism of the staff. They were so friendly and patient with us as we figured out who was shooting, what firearm we wanted to shoot and of course, instructing us. The business is kept very clean and you could easily browse around the front for awhile and just learn about different firearms.

We are happy to recommend to others and will be back when we visit again!
