All good -- I arrived late, but my reservation was taped to the cabin at the entrance. The park was beautiful, campsite was fine (it's a campsite), and I got a hot -- hot -- shower in the morning. Perfect.

The Absarokas & the Carter Range beckon you to stare. This is the area which leads toward Wapiti, WY, & beyond, to Yellowstone. This is part of the area which Teddy Roosevelt said was part of the 50 most beautiful miles to drive in the United States...Take it all in. The views are far-reaching. It's possible---even probable---that you could see... More

As you drive through this park you will see some of the most beautiful rock formations along the road. They seem to be of all colors and certainly shapes and sizes. Driving through there at dusk might be the best time.

The RV site is right on the water. Amazing to wake up in the morning to an amazing view. RV Sites had water, and electric hookup. Dump station on the way out. Didn't explore the park much becasue we wanted to get to Yellowstone. An amazing drive from here to there.

There are many wonderfully senic camp spots overlooking the Buffalo Bill Reservoir on the north side of the lake, and at its western end. All are car accessible, and it is very well suited for RVs. Along the lake there are a few tent camp sites with some fencing to provide some protection against the periodic 70-knot winds that blow... More

My husband and I drove through on our way in and out of Yellowstone from Cody. If we could to it again we would definitely stop and check out the park. There are many spots to explore and many picnic points for scenic lunches.

This is right up there with the best the US can offer in terms of landscape. Wonderful autumn colour, although we may just have been lucky.

Wyoming (and Montana) charge out of state people more for use of their state parks. Why? I pay their taxes when I buy things and stay in their hotels ... probably pay more in taxes than some of the residents. Seems to just be a way to gouge the tourist even more ... and make me stay away from the... More

This landscape was amazing. The lake and the mountains were fantastic, just like a movie scene! This park is a little bit undervalued!

Got to see a few Bison and even stopped and fed some very friendly donkeys along the road. There was lots of wild life out there
