If you actually go on a day when the rainbows are visible it may be worth the view. But really it's just an anticlimactic waterfall and not the best on the island.

Nice small waterfall near Hilo and almost next to main road. Easy to walk around with paved path. A few beautiful spot to take photos.

Pretty cool falls, but go in the morning to get effect of the rainbows. Parking is limited, but people are in and out quickly so the wait was not too long. Quick little stop if you are staying in Hilo.

We stopped by these falls on our way through Hilo after visiting Akaka Falls State Park. They are pretty falls right in the city. You can drive up and park in the parking lot near them. It is called Rainbow Falls because of the rainbows...More

Love the tropical forest environs. Best to go early. It has been very crowded the last couple of times we've been here, and people have to wait in line to park.

This attraction has easy access and is free to look at as well as close to town. The waterfall drop is approx 80 ft and creates a rainbow effect at about 11am so I was told by a local. Unfortunately we were not there at...More

虹はうっすらと見えました。 向かって左側に滝の上に行く道があり、さらに奥に行くとメチャクチャでっかい木があります。 There is a way to go to the top of the waterfall and there is a huge tree when you go further.

10 minute stop to view the falls and take a quick photograph, the park is quite overgrown and run down.

Rainbow Falls sits right outside of Hilo. This is a waterfall that you can drive to in a few short minutes and walk right up to. Heck, it's close enough that a toddler could walk to it without any challenges. The waterfall itself is beautiful,...More

My wife and I recently viewed the Rainbow Falls just outside of Hilo. They are nice for what they are - a set of falls that are far from the most dramatic in Hawaii. We were not able to see a rainbow in the falls,...More

Hi, no, you cannot get into the waterfall, close but that's it. Lots of spots to take picture though.
