We stopped to watch the sunset and found a wonderful beach. Camping opportunities are available. A wonderful place for camping, cookouts, or just watching the sunsets. Restroom facilities are available. A hidden gem.

Your preference; also easy to snorkel in for beginners on the Left side. Nice locals mainly on the Right side of beach Clean bathrooms and many shower areas. Nearby... More

There is a lot of disabled parking. The sand and beach are lovely. There is even a place to rent stuff for the beach. If you are in a wheelchair your ability to get close to the water is zero. We were really hoping for the availability of a beach wheelchair. We would have paid to rent one. Other beaches... More

This beach is truly a hidden gem. It is never crowded so sun bathing is great, and the waves are gentle for easy swimming.

Small, intimate shallow beach with year-round sunsets. Parking available and overnight camping appears to be allowed. Great kids beach. No commercial facilities but a good family area. Showers are solar heated and infinite warm water. Picnic areas abound. Keep your parked cars locked. A very comfortable beach with shaded areas for families.

This beautiful beach is ideal for swimming and just relaxing. It has ample picnic facilities, restrooms and showers to remove the sand before getting in your car. It is a favorite for locals and is definitely family friendly. The large trees have to be ancient and provide dense to filtered shade over the picnic tables and charcoal cooking facilities. A... We really came to see Petroglyphs in Pu'ukohola Heiau National Historical Park, and did not find any, but were very happy at the beach.Seems like locals come here, always a good sign.

Although I'm not a surfer or swimmer, I am partial to snorkeling in pristine Hawaiian waters with reef fish of all varieties. On the other hand, Hapuna Beach with its Wailea Bay section would appeal to swimmers and snorkelers as well. Showers at both beaches are available. Canoeing by the beach on Hawaiian Culture Day from nearby Kawaihae Harbor gave... More

The wave if any are outside the break-wall. You will need a camping permit to stay here issued by the County of Hawaii. After 7PM they discourage a lot of in and out traffic but id you need to get out I think they let yiy abc in if its not too late (past 10 or 11Pm) but talk to... More

Went to experience the local feel with hammocks between the palm trees and friendly fun. It was clean the shower facility was large and accommodating. On our first visit we were fortune to experience some whale watching! On the second visit just before we had to leave the island I gave my camera to stranger snorkeling who captured some fantastic...
