Best experience of our vacation

Our "King's Tour" kayak and snorkel trip with Hawaii Pack and Paddle was, hands down, the best thing we did on our Hawaii trip, and we did a lot of pretty cool stuff. Barry, who... read more

I booked the king tour in Dec 2014 (3 months in advance). money was charged immediately on credit card, full amount. On the departure day (March 2015), we arrvied in the address according to the email instruction, finding nothing exist on that spot. I called the phone number according to the confirmation email and the owner Bari told us the... More

Booked the whale and dolphin kayak tour weeks in advance for my friend's birthday. Emailed to request a date change about a week after booking and got a prompt email response from Bari stating that was fine. Then nothing. The only tour info I had was the initial confirmation email from Zerve (the local booking agent) which didn't have a... More

Writing response to review. Unfortunately you were not happy with being able to go out for an excursion in kealakekua bay and like HPP said on phone conversation we apologized due to State of Hawaii putting or surprising us with a new addendum for us commercial kayak operators this is a new permit that allow us in the bay for... Rented a double kayak and didn't use a guide. This was so much fun. Very, very cool experience in the bluest water and dolphins everywhere. Seriously everywhere! Plus we saw whales on our paddle out to Captain Cook area. A bit unorthodox of a company...almost like I was in Mexico. Husband and I drove up to their street side location... More

Our "King's Tour" kayak and snorkel trip with Hawaii Pack and Paddle was, hands down, the best thing we did on our Hawaii trip, and we did a lot of pretty cool stuff. Barry, who runs the operation and takes the tours out, is the best kind of guide: a fourth-generation resident who's enthusiastic and deeply knowledgeable about where he... More

Did a half-day (morning) kayak and snorkel trip to Captain Cook monument with Ola. What a wonderful time! We had a large pod of dolphins swim along with us as we paddled, and also saw whales farther out. Not rushed at all. Had a great snorkel at the monument area where the fish were abundant and the waters very clear.... More

We kayaked to the Captain Cook monument with this company and were very impressed. From the moment you arrive, the staff are friendly, a light breakfast is provided, and the payment is handled professionally. The kayaking is suitable to those with only a minimal level fitness, and there is an extensive briefing about the equipment beforehand. My wife and I... More

Very professional. Really take pains to prep novices for the 1.3 mile open water kayaking to the national park. Good equipment. Friendly staff. Totally versed on the oceanic conditions, fish, aquatic mammals, sea turtles, etc. not many places like this left in the world so don't miss the chance. Went with wife and two sons in 2 double kayaks.

We rented a double kayak from Barry (south of Kona) and had a fantastic kayaking experience by following his tips. In addition to the Kayak, he gave us other tools and equipment that we might need and trusted us to bring everything back when we are done. Barry is super nice, generous, and knowledgeable about the area and provides excellent advice... More

My family and I had a fantastic trip with Bari and his partner, Kaipo. They took us out on christmas day for a fantastic tour of the Bay, kayaking across the bay and then snorkeling and showing us some amazing fish. They were knowledgeable and clearly care about the ecosystem. We had a great time and would come back again... More

Bari and Kaipo were very knowledgeable about the marine life in the bay and snorkeled with us to point things out. Most fun I've had snorkeling. Kayak trip out to the bay was easy and fun.
