Take “The Crawl” tour! It includes the lighted trail tour, and you really do get to crawl through some exciting areas. Our tour guide, Emmanuel, was incredibly knowledgeable, and his peaceful demeanor made us feel like we were in good hands even when we were...More

This is one of the most extensive tube systems that can actually be explored. Guided tours answer the real questions about the plumbing of volcanoes and the earth’s geology at work. If the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is closed, due to recent and continuing eruptions,...More

Absolutely fantastic experience. Emmanuel was a _perfect_ guide. Not only was he a phenomenal teacher, explaining how lava and magma flows to create lava tubes, he was also a great guide. Up front, he addressed the "apprehensions" one might have when crawling in underground lava...More

We visited Kula Kai Caverns and it was a great and informative experience! We did the guided light tour (shortest option) and Gary, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of the volcanic eruptions and how the caves were formed and super funny!...More

There is a road that goes to a certain point. After that you will have to either hike or May a nominal fee to catch a ride in the back of a pickup with the locals offer g service there

Not very narrow at all unless you are doing the crawl tour and decide to go that way. In the two hour tour you only crawl once so just depends if you prefer to crawl or mostly walk.

I think it was $15 per person for the shorter tour we did. The best thing to do is give them a call to double check.
