If you are in Hanalei then check out hanalei beach. If you are into piers then see that too but don't go out of your way just to visit a pier. It's a concrete structure with a few people fishing off it. No jumping off the pier is allowed. Scenic view is no different than from the beach.

Hanalei pier is an old pier, nothing to plan your trip around, but would recommend seeing if you'd like to walk up and down the Hanalei beach, which is fantastic! There is surf on both sides of the pier. One side beginner generally smaller, slow and mellow longboard break or the other side has an outside reef for more experienced... More

A short pier out from Hanalei beach with a covered area at the end. This is a great place to watch the surfers on the out reef. Bring your binoculars.

This pier is on the National Registry. It's not only historic, but amazing to consider what it has outlasted...2 of the most ravaging hurricanes that hit Hawaii. Walking out, the ocean just gets more exotic looking, and I couldn't help but feel the emotion of endurance.

This pier has picnic tables under the roof. It looks great in photographs at Hanalei Beach, especially at sunset. Although signs are posted that the water is shallow around it, people still jump off this pier. It's a must see for tourists who visit Kauai.

An excellent spot to learn to surf, Hanalei has lots of rental shops close by. Large grass area with picnic tables and ample shade under the huge trees to cool off. Horseshoe pits, restrooms and outdoor shower to rinse off in. The river leads into the ocean so you can watch everything from surfing to paddle boarding to kayaking to... More

Pier has been rebuilt in the 90's so it's a nice sturdy structure. It is covered at the end with benches for people to sit and watch the surfers. I'm sure when the winter swells come in the surfers would use this more to watch from

Easy access with lots of parking, the pier advances into green water, making this a memorable walk. Superb view of the surrounding hills too. Kids have fun jumping from the pier into the water, with a ladder to climb back up. Nice for a quick stop during a road trip on the coast.

This historic pier has been seen in many movies, including Bird of Paradise, Beachhead, South Pacific and Wackiest Ship in the Army. The end of the pier is a great location for some amazing shots of Hanalei Bay and the surrounding mountains. Locals jump off the pier, while others fish. A nice walk on this historic pier. Parking is a... More
