We were looking for a flat water kayaking experience, and Kayak Wailua offered both kayaking and a hike. We were not disappointed. Many reviews accurately describe the experience. From our perspective as active seniors, there are a few additional observations. On the caution side, be aware that the "mud" is not ordinary mud... It is extremely slippery, even when it... More

Nice and relaxing.....they take care of pretty much everything (they've done this a couple times :) Bring your bathing suit (you pretty much have to go under the waterfall), a towel, and some kind of foot ware that you don't mind getting a little dirty and has some tread. One of the things like wife and I appreciated about this... More

Did this excellent kayak tour with our 7 and 10 year old girls in January 2017. Kawika, our guide, was amazing. He got the kids involved in all segments of the tour. He was great in providing an historical account at different locations during tour. The tour itself is over 4 mile round trip kayak tour and 2 mile round... More

The couple of mile kayak trip up to the hiking point was only mildly strenuous. They provided free use of dry bags and shoes, which was a good thing since it rained while we were enroute. The rain actually was a nice break from the heat while we were on the river. Our guide, Kovika, was excellent and tried his... More

This was a great tour - they drive you to the dock, you kayak in pairs, then you park the kayaks and they lead you on a hike to Secret Falls. We had a hard time getting the hang of kayaking (it's possible that we reversed who should be steering - don't assume the man is always the best at... More

The staff was extremely friendly offering free use of shoes, dry bags, backpacks. Transportation and equipment in great shape. Our guide was very friendly, great source of information about the surroundings, and made the entire trip interesting and fun. We had a rare "dry" day, but were told it is usually very muddy. I could see that it wouldn't be... More

Great combination tour of kayaking and hiking. Destination is a 120 foot waterfall with a swimming hole. Good quality equipment and Brandon was an excellent guide. Easy to book and a good value. Trail a bit muddy due to recent rain but still enjoyable.

We went on this tour today with TROY as our guide! He made this tour incredibly enjoyable. He made my 68 year old mother feel comfortable hiking the trail which was difficult for her in several places. He provided hiking sticks which was a must and he was incredible kind and knowledgeable. This tour takes some physical exertion but is... More

Kyle was an excellent guide during our kayak and hiking excursion. And their prices aren't that bad either!

Seriously, the best $50 ever spent on vacation. The tour was about 5hrs, it included a beautiful kayak tour (easy), an informative tour (light drizzle) means muddy conditions. Embrace the mud, the beauty of it all and make sure to wear appropriate shoes. The hike was not strenuous, but the mud makes it a little challenging, hence the appropriate shoe... More
