We went for a walk along the Ke Ala Hele Makalae East Shore Beach Path and found that this beach was uncrowded and very nice. Clean with plenty of picnic huts, adequate parking and restrooms. Also has a lifeguard, so good place for families.

We ended up at Kealia Beach only because we saw it driving by, and it looked gorgeous. It really is. A beautiful, long sandy beach. What's not to love. Surf can be brutal, so be careful. A nice walking path nearby as well. Also, nice shaded picnic tables really make this a place to enjoy a gorgeous day in Kaua'i.

I like this beach. It's close to where I live, so I am able to go there decently. It's not crowded, and the sand is nice.

Kauai is filled with phenomenal beach park and this one is no exception. I lost count of how many we visited. The views here are incredible.

Stopped here on our bike ride and took a dip in the ocean. Plenty of parking today. Small, medium or large waves spending on your interest and skill. Nice showers and bathrooms too. Make this a stop for sure!

Kealia Beach is a nice beach to just kick back and relax at. It is easy to find with lots of parking. It has Lifeguards and public restrooms. We walked in the clean sand and watched the surfers ride the waves.

Soft sand and no rocks. By far our favorite beach on both Oahu and Kauai. My kids loved it and so did I. We did lots of boogie boarding.

Kealia Beach is right along the roadway, just north of Kapa'a. There is plenty of parking and restrooms. There is also a long paved path, for riding bikes or pulling coolers. And there is plenty of room along the water. Seems to be very popular, and it's a great beach with soft sand! Great for swimming and surfing.

If you're looking for some wave action when it is dead calm everywhere else on the north shore, this is the place. Having been to Kauai mostly in winter, we found the North Shore beaches pretty sedate to visit in May. But Kealia has more of what we are accustomed to. The northern most portion of the beach is great... More

This north shore beach is located right of the highway. There is lots of parking, covered pavilions, restrooms, a shower and tons of super soft sand. It is also easily accessed via the Kauai Path which is a great way to see some of the beautiful north shore. Great beach to hang out on and do some swimming. Be careful... More
