Kokeʻe Natural History Museum Kokeʻe Natural History Museum, located just past mile marker 15 on the road up to Waimea Canyon, is open 365 days a year from 9am to 4:00pm. Kokeʻe Museum provides trail information and sells maps trail maps. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers are happy to help you decide on the trail(s) for you and advise you of current conditions and hazards. Exhibits give visitors an overview of the natural and cultural history of Waimea Canyon and Kokeʻe State Parks. The gift shop carries unique gifts as well as informative books, recordings, and DVDs that illuminate the natural and cultural treasures of Kaua'i. Admission: suggested donation $3.

This place is definitely worth a stop on your drive in the canyon. We stopped here about halfway through our drive to take a quick break. There is no admission fee, but there is a suggested donation box of $3 to which we gladly donated....More

The people in the museum are so helpful. They know the conditions of the trails and can help you pick the perfect hike. The museum is small but packed with lots of cool information.

A must! You will feel an urge to go all the way to the top first (That's OK too).. Stop again on your way down. Remember closing is 4PM. Bring a lunch (poke maybe) ..There are sheltered picnic tables and bathrooms at the top of...More

Great place to rest, and learn more about the park and trails! FYI: Drones are not allowed! Especially when you chase birds with it!
