Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. The hike itself is mostly flat & easy. It's a fairly quick visit as it is approx. 4.5 miles long. I did it in flip-flops & noticed a kid doing it barefoot as well. That said,...More

My mother and I completed the trail after a rainy day and really enjoyed it. We took the entire loop trail and it took about 2.5 hours as we savored the stroll through mahogany plantations. It's the largest of it's kind in he world. 80,000...More

This is a flat trail and so very easy to hike. It had rained the day before and so I wished that I had worn my sport sandals instead of light hikers as the path was very wet in spots. Lots of interesting trees along...More

Highly recommend taking this sweet walk! It will take as long as a 4.5 mile walk generally takes, but allow time to really savor the local beauty. It's a gentle path, mostly flat until you get to the Stone Dam. There are plaques along the...More

This is a really easy hike. Probably about 1 mile each way if you leave from common grounds restaurant parking lot, and about 2.5 miles each way if you leave from the miniature golf course. It is so peaceful and beautiful. I take this hike...More

Nice afternoon relatively easy walk with a beautiful peaceful area at the Stone Dam. It is more of a beautiful garden than functional aqueduct. Great walk for kids unless they get fussy walking distances. Recommend mud shoes or boots. Slight inclines not requiring walking sticks...More

This hike through the valley offered a completely different part of Kauai. The trail starts off muddy, be prepared with hiking boots/shoes. After the first mile it levels out and opens up to symmetrical lines of trees as far as the eye can see. This...More

You start through a mahogany forest for about a mile, then the trail takes you past working farms and through the lush valley with Kauai's mountains in the distance. After about 3 miles you come to a spur trail that leads you into another world....More

Are strollers permitted? I don't think my 3 year old would last 5 miles.

There is an option to swim at the stone dam, there is a small ladder to help you get back out and even a rope swing, probably not a good idea in your condition. As others have stated if the water is brown from a lot rain run... More

Wondered if you can tell me if there is an easy way to get to just the stone dam area without having to hike the whole loop. Also do you know if there is any other access to this rather than at the Mini Golf? Thanks.
