Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a quaint town with locals working there ( they give great advice for best local food). Unfortunately not many are selling REAL Hawaiian fare anymore. EG the “ Hawaiian Quilts” are from sarongs and made overseas. If looking for small items to take home you will find them here

Cute little town, well maintained with an assortment of gift shops, art galleries and places to grab a snack or a meal. Century old buildings have plaques with information about the structures. Lovely, very large monkey pod tree with twisted limbs. Fun place to stroll around for an hour or so.

Great way to spend a few hours while it rained. Lots of shops and places to grab a bite to eat. Some of the stores had some quite interesting merchandise! Don't miss the shave ice at The Fresh Shave. Best we had on the entire island!

There are some small shops, restaurants and stores in Old Koloa Town. There are plenty of places to explore and a small memorial park.
Koloa is home to a great farmers market at noon on Mondays. It is where the first mill for sugar cane was built and the buildings still make a wonderful photo opportunity.

Old Koloa Town has many shops, food trucks and a gourmet nut shop ... Sweet Heat macadamias are spicy and delicious.

This has not changed in the 30 plus years we have been going. Some old dilapidated buildings with newer shops and restaurants inserted into "historic" store fronts.
If you like to shop for t-shirts and eat in mediocre food places, this is for you.
There is really nothing "historic" about it other than it was once a company town for the local sugar mill. Total disconnect between historic past and present tourist shops.
There is really nothing interesting to see or do here.

we walked around and one place had 40% off but then I saw the same outfits at the Longs Drugstore for less money and not on sale. There is a relatively large grocery store, large for this area of the island called Big Save that i visited more than once

Loved this little town. There was a spot we found that sold dole whip along with ice cream & some baked desserts. We were so excited we found it because we have only been able to get dole whip at Disneyland in CA. They have lots of food trucks too. Great place to shop & eat!

This is not the largest town I have seen, we walked around within 1 hour. They have restaurants, mshops, a great fish market and the big save market that has everything you need. If you love old towns, you will love this place.

It is the Christian Riso Fine Art and it is open for business. I know the owners and it is NOT closing. They do some of the best framing I have ever seen!!
