We attended the Luau program last week. We did not reserve the dinner just the show. For the money it was well worth it. I had a family of seven that didn't want to eat at the Luau but wanted to attend a show. We truly enjoyed the evening. They do an excellent show that is well received. Dancers, fire... More

Cost: cheaper than most luau Grounds: they offer a tour of the gardens before the show...part of the package Food: the kalua pig was so tasty. Better than the ones I've had in other restaurants in the island Show: different than what I'm used to. They had performances of the other settlers of the island: Philippines, Japan, New Zealand. Stage... More

At the Smith website, you have the option of selecting the show only. I have food restrictions and find the dinner option to be expensive so I decided to select the show only. As it turns dark quite early in Hawaii, there is not much to do and see at night for families so going to the show is a... More

We choose this luau for its location to our hotel and a recommendation from one of the travel guides to Kauai and we weren't disappointed. From the greeting and tram ride through the garden grounds it was a lovely time. Food was good,, plentiful and truly all you could eat. Show was entertaining and lively giving you a taste of... This is the first luau we went to on Kauai. We have been to a couple on Maui and they were much better. My boys (ages 8 and 10) were disappointed in this one especially after we had described the ones on Maui with their fantastic warrior dances. On the positive, the food was good and the live band was... More

Four of us attended last night and it was wonderful even in the rain. This place is beautiful and they have a trolley tour of the gardens. Unfortunately it was raining and we did not have a good opportunity to walk through the garden and enjoy it to the extent we had hoped for. The food and entertainment is all... More

Impressed with how efficiently so many people were shuttled through the beautiful grounds to await the imu ceremony and obtain their average luau food, but the show left a great deal to be desired. Costumes were dull and conservative; very low number of male performers was disappointing; an engaging start of a flamboyant story quickly came to an unimpressive halt... More

This was a great experience from beginning to end. You start the night with a tram tour of the grounds. They have lots of beautiful plants and wildlife, including peacocks that roam the grounds. They drop you off to hear all about the Imu and how the meal is prepared and highlight what our night will entail. Then there is... More

A bunch of 30-somethings in my group from Chicago/DC/NYC. I liked the idea of going to a luau and we even bought aloha shirts for the occasion. The grounds were nice and very large for walking around. There were a bunch of peacocks roaming too which was nice. Dinner was buffet style so we had more than enough food and... More
