This is a great little museum. Lots of history and more. And your ticket is good for repeat visits for a week and for a free docent tour (10:30 am each weekday). We loved it. The gift shop is also quite nice.

Your speaker was very interesting and knowledgeable. Your displays and artifacts were awesome. We have now, because of you, decided to always go to a museum at the beginning of our visit

The Kauai Museum has some very nice displays with a nice variety of collections: early Hawaiian history and culture, surfing, plantation life, and paniolos. It's well worth a stop.

The staff are very friendly and greet you as you come in. They have Docets who tell you the history of the Island and back stories about the Monarchs. We enjoyed reading about the history on the plaques with the exhibits.

Fantastic museum with artifacts and collectibles that are priceless. The cape and lei's made of bird feathers is a must see in addition to the collection of Niihau shell necklaces. Take the time to watch the video about Hawaii and its peoples. Fascinating. The gift...More

Yes, it's a small museum so it depends on how in depth you want to get. We were there about an hour and a half, partly because we stopped to listen to a lecture that was going on.
