It was tempting to skip the beach for the numerous pools at the Grand Hyatt, but I'm so glad we didn't. Poipu was gorgeous. It does get pretty crowded, so I'm glad we came early in the morning to have some quiet time. We left...More

Almost always a good beach for swimming, splashing and snorkeling. Our teenage daughter loved every moment from surf lessons to splashing around with her friend til the sun went down.

The only reason I did not give it a 5 is because it is busy and I really like quieter places. Very nice for families with little ones as there is a safe place for them to swim. We saw a few monk seals here...More

Poipu Beach park is VERY popular for everybody. You can understand why when you arrive. The wave are very small here due to the rock walls and reefs. This makes swimming and snorkeling very enjoyable and safe. The water is also warm and fairly shallow....More

We stopped there for picnic lunch. Tbere are several benches under trees which can be cooler by at least 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Across the street is convenience store that sells cold beverages, icecream and shave ice. Beach itself is nice and swimable.

While staying at Kuhio Shores rentals this was the perfect beach for snorkeling, sunning, and just hanging out right next door. It’s also adjacent to the Beach House Restaurant where one can also enjoy drinks and/or a great meal of local cuisine.

Something to see. Easy drive and great spot for pictures. There is shopping right there by a bunch of different vendors. Easy walking and viewing. Restrooms close by as well. Can get a bit crowded when the buses come in.

We stayed within walking distance from Poipu beach. It’s beautiful. Next time we’ll try to find something with a bit of a beach view. The sunsets here are amazing. The snorkeling is quite good near the little sand mound at the point of the beach....More

Nice popular beach with a fair amount of parking space. Favoured by families with small kids as there’s a life guard and the beach is sheltered by a breakwater. With any luck you’ll see a Hawaiian monk seal or a turtle resting on the beach...More

This was a great spot to snorkel and explore. Lots of Marine life to see as well. We saw 3 sea turtles, 2 seals, tons of fish and crabs. This was a great little beach to hang out on. We even got a nice little...More

We saw one dog outside of the beach area. Unsure if they are technically allowed, though.
