I come to this spot every year. I love it here The only thing is that the hiking ability gets a bit harder for some people as there has been a lot of erosion compared to last year. The railings have become more damaged or broken. Prob best to go down in your hiking shoes compared to sandals. Prob not... More

Ok so it's February and fairly low tide this impacted our experience. We found 2 beaches- the paved path from the Puu Pau condos leads to a remote beach with lots of shade. The paved path is steep but very manageable. The beach is very rocky and not very good for swimming or surfing. You cannot get to the public... More

This beautiful beach was just below our condo. It is pretty secluded and there seems to be only surfers parking here. The short hike down to the beach isn't for the weak. 2ft steps in some spots. Did I mention worth it?

This beach is truly a must see while on Kauai. The path is not easy to find, nor is the climb down particularly easy, but the work is well worth it! The beach is completely secluded and peaceful, with amazing views in all directions. If you go in February you will likely see whales off the coast--we saw so many!... More

This is a very challenging hike if your not in shape. I live in Oregon and enjoy hiking at the young age of 73, but would not do a repeat of this hike. Even with a hiking pole, it proved to be to be a hike for the younger set. Beautiful views and lovely beach at the final destination.

The parking is sparse, but if you are lucky enough to get a spot, make sure you go! This is a beautiful almost private beach. The hike is a bit hairy at points, but well worth it.

Can't say enough about any of the breathtaking beaches on this island - you can't top them anywhere.

Quiet and beautiful, hideaway beach is a great place to relax. It is small, maybe 100 yards long, but due to the difficult climb down and back up there aren't many young kids. The snorkeling is great too. I went out while my wife stayed back and read on the beach. It also has quite a bit of shade so... More

You have to be committed to wanting too go to Hideaways, there must isn't an easy way to get there. If you are staying at Pali Ke Kua there is a private path that is paved, but still challenging. If you are not a guest there the public patch ante a bit more challenging. IF you are up for the... More
