The parking here was really limited and the "path" to get down was really sketchy! It had just poured, so it was SO slick and steep and really muddy. There are stairs for the first bit, but once those stairs are gone, all that's left is a muddy rope. We had friends who came down with us and they had... More

We've been here all week and it's been raining everyday which means muddy, slippery trails. Not sure how folks get stuff down this trail when it's muddy because you certainly need both hands in some sections to get down to the beach. Once you're down there it's quite lovely. There was a pretty mean rip current when we went down... More

Best condos in Kauai are right above this beach. Puu Poa complex and the best of them all is unit 412. We stayed there and it's amazing!!! Pack a beach chair and some snorkeling gear on your back, walk past PuuPoa condos and the small trail is on your right. Don't sweat the decent down with the help of rope. If... More

My family and I recently returned from Kauai and staying out in Princeville. Several friends had recommended Hideaways to us. I have to say, it was hands down our family's favorite beach and we spent time in Poipu, Hanalei and Tunnels. It's a relatively small beachfront, but the views are fantastic at sunset, the snorkeling is great and there is... More

Practicality vertical trail up and down the cliff complete with ropes to steady yourself but it opens up to a beautiful almost private beach. Snorkeling was good although waves were a bit rough the day we were there. Do NOT attempt this trail after a rain.

This is a very scenic and beautiful beach in Princeville, Kauai. When the sun is out, the colors of the water can't be beat anywhere else on the island. Although my wife and I didn't snorkel or swim in the water, we found the beach perfect for a relaxing morning rest. But before you can rest, you need to hike... More

We usually go here when we go to Kauai. The hill is steep, but worth the hike. I recommend, if you're on the north side!

Hideaways beach was one of the many North Shore beaches people recommended to us and we now understand why - it's awesome! We only had one day on North Shore and were tight on time after a mid morning helicopter tour so Tunnels and Secrets would have been tough to fit in but Hideaways was a perfect compromise! It's right... More

Watching the beautiful Hawaiian sunset is a must when visiting Kauai. Don't miss it. Easy to walk too.
