I'd found out about this spot from reviews on this site prior to our recent Kauai trip. Yay! So glad I did. We stayed at the St. Regis, just steps away from Hideaways. We rented snorkel gear from Hanalei Surf Shop and double checked favorite...More

Beautiful pleasant beach to which you will arrive after a small steep hike. It´s advisable to come here when is not raining as you might slip.

We stayed at the Puu Poa so the entrance was right next to us (also adjacent to the St. Regis). The walk down is a little rugged so wear appropriate shoes and backpack to carry your stuff. You do need to hold on to the...More

If you are lucky enough to find a parking spot, this beach is definitely worth a visit. It had lots of sand, lots of shade available, crystal clear water for snorkeling, and was incredibly scenic. There is a bit of work involved to get down...More

Our favorite hidden place to go but had to wait for parking this year thanks to the photogenic beach and social media. If people ask just say "Princeville" or "it's too dangerous to visit" that always works for us. The pics speak for themselves.

I cannot say enough about the beauty of this beach. It is a bit small, but offers plenty of sun or shade, and pretty good snorkeling for the island. The hike down is short, but difficult. Parking is tough.

It was a bit of a hike down to the beach but if you take it slow and are careful it's manageable. The beach was definitely worth it. GO EARLY otherwise there is no parking and the later you wait the more people are there....More

I made the trek down with a friend around 7am on a Friday morning. We were staying at the condo's right next to it. It was pretty steep and it was a little slippery because it had rained the night before but there are ropes...More

Hideaways was an awesome experience - very cool secluded beach. The walk down is a little steep but very doable and there is a rope that you can hold on to for support. For parking, I'd recommend parking at the St... More
