While staying on the west side, took in a movie here (title of review) on 11/02. Surprisingly good venue to watch a flick. Sound was good, excellent picture on the screen, concessions area with popcorn and drinks. The theater even has 2 rows of nice wide cushioned rattan seats. If you are on the west side stop in and watch... More

After a month in Kauai, we decided it was time to catch a movie at the local theater. The theater only shows one show on 3 nights of the week. Tickets on Sunday were only $6 apiece! Get there early for the good seats (wicker chairs). I love how they were playing Hawaiian music prior to the show. What a... More

Saw the Huntsman last weekend ... thought it was going to be the Junglebook because that's what it said on google ... but no mind, it was only $6/pp because the movie had subtitles. Going back this weekend for the Jungle Book though! :) Thanks Waimea Theater. Popcorn is good .. Rootbeer is good .. seats are comfy and not... More

Two rows of seating are very comfortable wicker beach chairs and getting one of them makes the movie experience very memorable. We were surprised that 1930's theater would have as good a screen and audio as this one does so, if you're looking for an evening at the movies this is for you.

Haven't been in a while as I live on the other side of the island, but I was lucky enough to win some movie passes so and glad I made the trek out to Waimea! This is a great place to catch a movie that isn't at the other theater anymore = no crowds! The theater concession stand actually takes... More

Lovely local theatre for seeing a film you might have missed on the Mainland or the see a favorite again. Great screen comfortable environment ...especially if you get there early and can be seated in one of the rattan armchairs.

My husband and I caught a mid-week early show of "World War Z" will staying in town for a few nights. It was an old theater, but I didn't notice any problems with projector or sound. They had a double billing posted for the week-end of other recent-release summer block-busters.

this theater used to show foreign films and interesting movies not shown anywhere else on the island. it also does live shows. the last time i went there it was showing the usual fare of any movie theater. that disappointed me a great deal and still does. the only theater on the west side. if you are staying there, you... Movies not as new as on the mainland but still fun seeing a flick and experiencing the atmosphere if you have a rainy night out..

Going to this theater is like going back in time to when you where a kid. You would think that you would see this place in a movie, instead of seeing a movie in this place. It only has one screen and only has about 5 showings for the whole week, but is also used for many community events. It... More
