Kahanu Garden is one of five locations of the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG). Kahanu is home to large collections of Breadfruit and other ethno-botanical plants of the pacific as well as Pi'ilanihale Heiau believed to be the largest heiau in The State of Hawaii and a National Historic Landmark.

While the view of the temple was nice, we went during the self guided days and found the literature lacking depth. If you are going to experience this location I would recommend going on a day with a guided tour.
