Fun course

Enjoyed my play on the Kai Course. Wide fairways are very forgiving and only donated a few balls to the golf gods. Less expensive than the Royal but views are not as nice either... read more

Have played courses on Maui every year since 2005. The Kaanapali courses are always slow (except early morning), routinely 5+ hours. Monday the Kai course, 5 hours 45 minutes. Beware!

Resort setup so not too hard but still challenging. Staff very friendly. Carts have gps. Front nine was relaxing but groups breathing down our necks on last 5 holes. Good value if you can book on discount site

I usually play on the big island and play courses like Mauna Kea and Happuna which are head and heels about this course for around 90-100 a round with a package of multiple rounds. These courses are $439.00 for 3 rounds. If you want to book them individually they are also pricey. If you want to pay the regular rate... More

Enjoyed my play on the Kai Course. Wide fairways are very forgiving and only donated a few balls to the golf gods. Less expensive than the Royal but views are not as nice either, nice to play both if you have the time. I did have some scheduling issues but the staff was able to resolve it.

Played here three times in the last 3 weeks. First time was a tournament and it was great. Second and third times the Tee time was screwed up. Waiting and waiting although I was there on time. $65 for a 6 year old to accompany me was just nasty. Staff didn't seem to care about anything. Much different than last... More

We took the teenagers out with us for a round of golf on Maui. The Kaanapali Kai course was fun to golf, but it wasn't cheap. I guess that's true of most golf on Maui. The course is really nice with wide fairways and lots of challenging sand traps. The course staff were very friendly. Go early in the morning... More

Played the Kai course and enjoyed the round. It plays well, a quiet course away from traffic noise, in good shape and fun to play. Glad to have experienced it while in Maui.

This was an add-in for me because the weather was very doubtful this time around in Maui. I played it because it was close the the resort we stayed at and probably would not have otherwise. It's a little pricey and the views are fair of the ocean. If I had booked this outside of the resort it would have... More

Royal Kaanapali golf course is a great resort course. Wide fairways and very smooth relatively fast greens. Some of the greens are very tricky. All the same it's a worthwhile experience if you are in Maui. The Roy restaurant is great for drinks after golf. Haven't eaten there.

This is the third time I've played Royal Ka'anapali over the past several years, and it's growing on me. Played from the blue tees at 6700, it's a real test of shot-making, with some long, tough par fours, a variety of par threes, and a couple of maybe reachable par fives. The greens hold very well, and are very smooth... More
