They were very difficult to find and if not for a local showing up with his dogs, we wouldn't have found it. There is a plaque there that says the petroglyphs are about 300 years old. Maybe I'm spoiled, but I've seen castle ruins and...More

First things first! Don't go exploring down any blocked off roads. We didn't realize how easy it was to find this place until we found it. We parked and walked up random roads to get to it which lead us to private property and then...More

Thought we wanted to go here...looked interesting. Only 14 minutes from our condo. Google dumps you in the middle of a gravel road/field with no signage and says you have arrived, destination on your left. Nope...on your right, continue up the gravel road that looks...More

Enjoyed seeing the petroglyphs but bring binoculars or a good telephoto camera lens as you cannot get up close to these.

A cool site that doesn't take much time, other than finding it. We were using a popular guide book and the directions were horrible. Once we were in proximity it was a short walk. It's a shame people would add graffiti here.

This site makes you appreciate ancient Hawaiian culture. Over the years it has been vandalized to some degree but many carvings are quite visible. The site does have some signage which was not there in 2001. Which makes it much easier to find. Also you...More
