We went to Lana'i twice this year via Expeditions. Easy boat ride to and from Lana'i. Hard to get up early but way worth it. Smooth trip with great sights of its own. It can be understandably windy on deck, but cabin space is very...More

We went on the ferry three occasions during out stay in Maui. Lanai is lovely and the actual trip on the ferry is a great opportunity to see whales and wonderful views of the area. However the owner and the staff we encountered, with the...More

They couldn't make the process easier from beginning to end. Simply call to reserve tickets, park in large lot, wait by boat, orderly boarding, and you are there smoothly and quickly. Plenty of on deck seats for photo op. Clean and sturdy vessel.

A great way to take in a day trip to Lanai, this fast boat gets you to Lanai in less than an hour each way, several times a day,and is pretty reasonable and rock solid reliable.

We took the ferry over at 9:15- it is a newer boat- try to sit on top- enjoy the views- catch a whale spout. When we arrived, Bruce was waiting for us and off we went to explore the island. If we had gone on...More

Other than flying, Expeditions' Maui-Lanai Ferry is the only public transportation to Lanai. They operate efficiently and on-time. The boat is comfortable.

We had a very smooth crossing which was run extremely efficiently. The fare is reasonable, especially for kama’aina. They are also good about accommodating changes in bookings.

You can always charter a boat. but I do not recommend it. there is not much to see, especially on the north side. there is enough to do on the island itself without having to leave it. unless you want to fish.

If you are looking for the closest beach it is a 5 min walk. Very very close to where you are dropped of.
