We love coming to this beach! The waves are big and fun to play in if you know what you are doing. Also lots of beach to walk, lifeguard on duty and the amazing views. Bring your chairs, sand toys and sunscreen and hang for a bit!

We were on the Road to Hana, and stopped to see this scenic overlook. It has a big parking lot, which was near-full, and the water was busy with surfers. I'm glad we stopped here to see the waves, because most of the rest of the way the road twists and turns through the woods with no ocean views.

Nice to go watch board surfers. A little to rough for me to swim. Young bodies can handle the waves.

Nice ocean views and sunsets. Great surfing spot. The adjacent town has good shopping and restaurants. It has an overall feel that reminds me of Bolinas, CA. Those who have visited know what I mean.

On our way on the road to Hana this trip, we were unhurried and decided to "browse the neighborhood" around Paia. It was the weekend, and we followed a row of cars toward the beach and ended up here. It is beautiful and leaceful and was a fun place to unwind a little and enjoy. We worth the effort.

Waves are high and undertow serious so take precaution at this beach. Sand is clean and lifeguard on duty. I really do enjoy visiting this beach.

Our family had a late evening flight to return home. After eating at Paia Fish House ( highly recommend) we came to the beach for a walk. Nice photo opportunities here. Warning- appears this is a hangout for druggies, a party was just beginning at 7 when the park closed and as we were leaving.

Located just west of Paia, it is a large cresent beach, with ample parking, restrooms (porta potties) and a large covered pavillion. It also has a lifeguard tower that was manned. There is also a huge grassy area between the beach and the highway. Water was good for a swim and body boarding.

This is a simple local beach. Plenty of parking, a few restrooms, and plenty of beach. This is north shore, so swimming here can be a little tough, but still, a beautiful beach.
