For almost 20 years Valley Isle Excursions has been providing a wonderful, eco-friendly, road to Hana tour. This tour encompasses not only the Hana highway but all around Mt. Haleakala's going as close to the sea as we can.

This tour in our custom cruisers begins with hotel or condo pickup, breakfast, a tour thru the rainforest, a picnic in Hana, numerous stops and brings you back to your hotel in time for dinner.

The Road to Hana Tour was very scenic and enjoyable, but the total experience was hampered by several things. Our guide Charlie thought that he was a comedian. Sorry Charlie, but you were just annoying. The breakfast consisted of sticky buns and sliced fruit. A little protein in the way of yogurt or hard boiled egg would have been nice.... More

This is the most amazing tour in Maui. I know there is lots of beauty to take in on the island but this tour is one, "oh my gosh" after another. Our driver was Mark, and we were so blessed to have him. The food was delicious. The views were majestic and we made new friends with all of the... More

First and most important our guides / drivers were very nice, knowledgeable and of great assistance. The road trip is well worth the time and effort. On the less than perfect side our vans were an hour late in picking us up. The write up stated "contenital breakfast" which we did not get but they did provide plenty of snacks... More

Aloha, You did not go on our tour. We have never picked anyone up an hour late, we always provide a continental breakfast, we do not use vouchers for lunch. But we don't provide snacks. You went with a different tour company and either they are fooling people into thinking you are going with Valley Isle Excursions, or the agent... More

Valley Isle Tours has top notch 12 passenger vehicles. Comfortable, large windows and they are maneuverable in tight spots. (you'll see why you want to be in a fairly small maneuverable vehicle when you get on the "road"!) They will pick you up right at the place you are staying. Eric was our guide. He is Hawaiian and what a... More

I took The Road to Hana tour in November 2016. It was well worth taking the tour as the road is quite difficult to maneuver. The tour starts with a delicious breakfast at a golf course (croissants, muffins, fresh fruit, juices and coffee) and brings you to over 10+ sites along the road to Hana. We stopped at waterfalls, interesting... More

We really enjoyed our Road to Hana trip, the chairs were super comfy although the air con was very chilly although it was changed when we asked! Definitely bring layers for the van. Jesse our guide was funny and informative although it was a bit tricky to hear him at the back sometimes. Unfortunately there was a landslide so we... More

Magnificent day with a terrific guide Jesse. The topography along the road to Hana was breathtaking. Jesse made it adventuresome and educational and above all fun. Would recommend this guy and this tour company to anyone wishing to take this wonderful road to Hana

This is the way to do it - don't try to drive the Road to Hana on your own! There are over 600 hairpin turns and the road is extremely narrow in some places. Plus you can't take a rental car past the pools, you have to turn around and go back the same way. The bus was able to... More

This was a full day adventure and our driver, Dennis, was great. He provided lots of information. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Continental breakfast and a tasty picnic lunch. The van we traveled in was comfortable with captain chairs for everyone - about 16 people in the van. Glad we didn't drive this ourselves -... More

I can't imagine why anyone would do this on their own since the road has over 100 hairpin turns, goes through the rainforest, has very few places to stop and is too difficult to navigate while looking at the incredible territory you'll pass through. The 2-lane road is so narrow that at places there is barely room for oncoming traffic,... More
