Have you ever seen a real live humpback whale? We offer an awesome fully narrated 2 hour whale watch on the Quicksilver during whale season, December through April. There is no better place to see a humpback whale than Maalaea Bay in Maui, often referred to as the "cradle of the humpback," for its high concentration of the magnificent humpback whales. If you haven't had the experience of seeing a humpback whale in the wild, it's a must do on your vacation in Maui during whale season.

The humpback whales are amazingly active during their short stay in Maui. They are here to mate and give birth. The warm, relatively shallow water of Maalaea Bay is the ideal place for these activities. When not in Hawaii, the Humpback whales spend their time feeding in Alaska.

It's hard to explain how awe inspiring seeing a humpback whale really is. Experience for yourself.

Amazing experience - go for the Tuesday afternoon watch with Nat

Even if we saw a lot of whales from the beach and from a snorkling trip, we selected to go on a specific afternoon whale watch with Quicksilver. When we boarded, I was so lucky to... read more

Even if we saw a lot of whales from the beach and from a snorkling trip, we selected to go on a specific afternoon whale watch with Quicksilver. When we boarded, I was so lucky to be sitting next to an expert - Terry that was a volunteer at the Whale center in Maui. He had been on many of... More

I recently booked a quicksilver whale watch trip. We have done quicksilver before and really enjoyed it. This time was different , the staff were inattentive, the captain was withdrawn and didn't seem to interested in finding whales, rather just doing his whale info talk and then getting back to the harbour........a real disappointment as we had brought friends on... We went out of Maalea Harbor from 4 to 6 and the mamas and babies were playing and breaching for most of our trip. It was magnificent. The boat captain was a whale enthusiast which made our trip even more worthwhile. The whales head for Alaska in a few weeks so we felt very fortunate to have experienced this adventure... More

We went on this the other night. The boat is large and clean. They served juices and had a bar with cheap beers and Mai tai. The crew was accommodating and the captain gave fun facts all day about the whales. We saw about 15 whales. A few huge jumps, some back splashes fun waves and tail flips! It was... More

The brochures and website did not give me all the info I would have liked ahead of time. We left the harbor at 7:30 am and got back at 1:20 pm. It was an hour ride out to Molokini. Snorkeling the crater there was awesome. It was very crowded but with the trip. We then drove about 30 minutes to... More

First time ever snorkeling. They were very friendly, helpful, and even educational. We saw Humpbacks and swam with sea turtles. A very pleasant trip overall. Snacks, drinks, and cookies were awesome too. Highly recommend, well worth the money. We went at the end of April 2013. I have great videos of sea turtles and humpbacks but the files are too... It was off season for whale watching, but the snorkeling was very good, and since the weather was unusually nice with calm seas, the captain took an extra trip around the back side of Molokini. Truly spectacular lava rock formations. Turtle town was also cool - we did see lots of sea turtles all around us. The provided lunch was... More

We have done the expensive sunset sails on other boats departing from Lahaina & Ka'anapali beach, and which we have found truly delightful over the years... We happened to purchase tickets from a friend which supported the local Boys & Girls Club of Maui for just $12.50/ea., and for a whale watch sunset cruise. We had low expectations, as our... More

We were aprehensive about a snorkel expedition as my husband and I both had bad experiences in the water as teenagers, leaving us to having fear of water sports. All I can say is that the Quicksilver tour was the perfect re-introduction to snorkeling. The fact that there was a lifeguard in the water with us and a crew that... More

We had been on similar cruise deals in Puerto Valarta, where, halfway through the paid for day, we jumped ship and rented a panga to get us back to base, so I went into this day somewhat apprehensive. On our way out to Molokini, we saw Humbacks close by, 5 minutes from the dock and once at Molokini, all passengers... More
