I wish we had spent more time at Waimea Bay but we didn't to it until later in the afternoon after roaming around some of the other beaches. It was my favorite even though it had more people on it that they other beaches further north. It was worth waiting in the parking lot for a spot. The parking is... More

This beach is super fun! beautiful and the cliff jumping is decently safe and SO fun! Definitely go here! Only issue is the parking - there is a small lot and some spots along the highway but that's about it.

We came to Waimea, which on this day was no where near as big as Pipeline was, but we were really glad we came. The beach is much more expansive than Pipe, and there is actually a bathroom facility and lots of sand for our little one to run around in. It's a great place to sit down and watch... More

Holy Cow....that water was BIG when we were there. Of course it was during a two day storm even with storm surges, but wow it was very cool. There was plenty of parking for us but it looks like it could get pretty full. I would not say this was a gradual beach and calm water but......it is beautiful and... More

We fell in love with the North Shore. Waimea Bay has the largest waves on the Island and they truly are monsters. The view as you drive in is absolutely stunning. Great spot to watch the big wave riders. Not much of a swim spot but also some great history and wildlife here.

Great beach! We did a quick stop while on a day trip to North shore, and didn't get to spend much time here. Very fun friendly beach with beautiful waves. Will definatley make a point to stay longer next time. Small crown compared to Waikiki area.

Unfortunately we didn't get to stop and enjoy the sand & water, but the view from the moving van was incredible and I got a really good shot of the beach. Definitely on the "must do" list for a return visit.

We had no trouble parking. The beach wasn't busy, and there were only 3-5 surfers on the water. The waves were mediocre, not one of the busy day. Washroom and change facilities on site, washrooms were slightly questionable with no hand soap. Outdoor showers were available to rinse off. Lifeguards assisted tourists who were unaware of the dangers of the... More

It's a nice flat area for going to the beach. However there is zero parking. If you don't get there before the 9 am in the morning or after main beach time you're just not going to find parking there are many other places to go that will give you better odds of actually being able to get out of... Big sandy beach with huge waves. Had a blast body surfing and playing around. If you are not a good swimmer don't go out, the waves are very powerful. You can still stand on the edge to feel the raw power of Mother Nature. Bring a boogie board if available.
