Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was a sad experience for a wildlife lover such as myself. So many tourists, coming by the literal bus load, harassing the sea turtles and not abiding by the 10 foot distance requirement.

Offers good view. You can have privacy here as there are very few people who ventured here. We can see the wind turbines, which unfortunately there’s a protest against them. Too bad for new and renewable sources of energy.

There are a ton of turtles that come to eat in this little cove at the park. Don't get too close; you're supposed to stay at least 15 feet away from them so as not to disturb them. One time one surfaced right in front of me though! It was startling. But it's super cool to see all the sea turtles on the beach and in the water.

This is the perfect place to go if you're new to surfing and want to learn. Lots of surf lessons are taught here, but you can also rent boards and try it on your own. The beach is nice with lots of shade. The waves crash in but there are sandy parts as well as rocky. Lots of shade and parking. There are bathrooms but no showers, although there is a faucet to wash off your feet on the far side of the bathrooms.

The water on this beach is not as clear as the waters around the island but this beach is not as visited by tourists as the other ones either. We enjoyed the scenery and the peacefulness of this place and we recommend it to anyone who visits the island as an escape from the stressful city streets.

Excellent spot to rent a board and learn to surf! The waves are much friendlier here than in other areas. I would definitely go back.

I went surfing here and it was awesome! Biggest excitement was the number of turtles bobbing up from below the surface. Made for excellent post-surfing lesson viewing! I didn't want to leave. Also good amount of parking and bathroom amenities for anyone wanting sand and sea!

Please be respectful of the guidelines and rules that are instated to protect these beautiful animals if you do come here to swim with them. Don;t touch, if they're on the beach, please keep yourself at least 8 feet away so you're not disturbing their natural behaviors. That being said, this place was AMAZING to see the Sea Turtles up close and personal. I ended up coming back here at least 6 days on my trip of 13 days. When there were too many turtles, I didn't personally feel comfortable with getting into the water, I felt I would be disturbing their feeding on the coral. So even just sitting on the beach and watching them can end up making hours go by so fast, if you're an animal and nature lover like myself. It's a bit of a walk to get to the best areas from where you park, so double check and make sure you have everything you want out of your vehicle with you, or you might be irritated with walking back and forth.
