A bit of a let down but beautiful drive out there!
I have always wanted to visit here. We visited while in port on a cruise. It is in a beautiful location. We took some amazing photos. There was quite a bit of the park closed. We did get to see shark feeding and dolphins feeding. Our adult daughter loved the aviary enclosure. I would say this is a one and done kind of location. Not worth the ticket price but we did enjoy the drive out there from Honolulu.

Small but lovely sea life park
We only had less than 1.5 hrs. here before it closed for the day and we still managed to see all the exhibits with enough time to catch the bus back to Waikiki. Peak crowd was gone for the day then so there was no waiting or congestion. The highlight was the aviary where we were able to feed the birds from our hands! Hubby, my toddler and I all got to experience this wonder. Also loved seeing the sea turtles and dolphins up close.

WOW! Well done to the folks that run this place and to their staff.
WOW! What a great little sea park and fantastic luau! We started our afternoon at the sea park which was included in the luau ticket. Lots of rescued sea animals and very interesting stories about them. The staff obviously loved working there, they were so caring to the animals and to the tourists. The luau was extremely well done. It was well organized and had lots of fun side activities before the show. Lots of good food choices too. The location was spectacular, sandwiched between the mountain and sea, just breathtaking. The show took you on a history tour of the island and the dancers were having so much fun, it was infectious, you couldn't help but have a great time. Well done to the folks that run this place and to their staff, thank you for a memorable day!

    See the dolphins.
We used the GOCITY pass & did it as our premium attraction. Becareful with the GoCity pass we had an issue & almost missed it because they said we used the premium attraction when we didn't. We almost missed out on it because of it. Everyone in sea lif was nice, understanding & I love the dolphins. Best thing ever.

    Sealife animal park
Sea life animal park was a wonderful experience. We reserved time to meet the dolphins 🐬 and take pictures. We got there at 10:30am, the drive up the coast was beautiful. I would suggest to make those stops to take those pictures. Unfortunately, we didn’t stop and I now regret it. We had a large group of 11, 2 children, 1 senior. I was able to rent a wheelchair and have my mom explore. We went on the left side of the park and saw, turtles, birds, sea lions, and the dolphin show. We had lunch at the Kaukau kitchen, food was good, pretty pricy. Food and drinks were not allowed in the pork. Dolphin show was good, we enjoyed the entertainment. Soon after, we swam and met the dolphins. We took pictures, so be ready to spend. It was $190 for 5 physical copies and the digital pictures for the rest. This is quite expensive so be ready for it. Clean up after is an outside shower, bring ocean friendly soap and extra towels if you’re staying after. Our agenda after this event was their in house luau. 3 out of 5 because of price, no food or drinks allowed in the park, and not allowed to take pictures during luau setup since they want you to purchase their photos. Staff were very friendly! Overall, fun place to take young children and enjoy the setting! Very windy area, but also beautiful.

A good place to learn about some of the animals that live in Hawaii.
This is a great place to see some animals up close. There is a short program every 15-30minutes. We got to learn about turtles, seals, sea lions, penguins and sharks. We also go to see a dolphin show. We snacked on popcorn, dippin dots and dole whip. They also have a food bar. We also took some photos with the most beautiful background. This is a good 1/2 day event. I heard they have a luau but we didn’t attend.

Beautiful view of ocean and good dolphin show
Attended the park before the luau at Sea Life Park. We took the arranged transport bus and times were limited. Left at 12:40pm and arrived at about 1:10pm. Luau did not start until after 5pm. After 1 hour at the park, I felt betrayed and trapped at a very boring park miles away from anything. The plus was the dolphin and wholphin show at 3:30pm. And the luau was amazing - but not Sea Life park. This is a small sea life park. I think it would be great for little kids. Easy to get around and not many people. Tickets to the luau will provide free entrance to Sea Life for 5 days. Sounds good, but after seeing it once, I don’t want to go back.

Probably not worth a special trip (unless you are headed to the Luau)
A nice little marine park that could use an update. We stopped in before the Luau and we could have done it in 1hr. My boys, 12 & 9, enjoyed it but tired of it after an hour. The turtles, the shark feeding and the dolphin show were the highlight. It was fine but not a must see.

    Not worth it
We got the Go City Pass and this was on their list of activities and since we were going to the Aloha Kai Luau at Sea life Park we thought it would be a fun activity to do prior to the show. We reserved 3 hours of our day to do the park and we were bored after an hour. The highlight was the Love Birds enclosure, they give you a small stick with bird food and the birds fly to you. Not worth it, so much other activities to do and see.

We booked SeaLife Park and the accompanying Luau with transport (extra cost) as one of the attractions on our Go City passes.

After a 1hr coach ride from Waikiki, we found ourselves in a small dilapidated marine park with few attractions staffed by crew who looked like they'd prefer to be anywhere else than at work.

There's a shark pool and a few accompanying aquarium tanks, a monk seal enclosure, seal enclosure, some penguins, bird enclosure...and of course the dolphins and wholphins. The dolphin and wholphin show was the highlight of our visit.

You could readily view everything in about 90mins so we bulked out our visit attending 3 of the "live shows" where bored keepers put the animals through training exercises in return for their daily feed. With the exception of the dolphin and wholphin show, these were underwhelming.

Personally I consider these "Parks" an anachronism of the past with enclosures that are too small and not in the best interests of the animals. Having said that, I also recognise the need for a facility that caters for sick and injured animals or those whose injuries and/or rehabilitation prevents a return to the wild. Tough to find the right balance and this is unfortunately not evident at SeaLife Park Hawaii.

Food and gift shop options are limited and obscenely expensive.

Now onto the Luau...

I wasn't overly impressed with the buffet dinner but then most buffets aren't anything special to write home about. But it was edible and there was plenty of food.

The show was another matter entirely...

I totally commend the energy and effort put into the performances by the dancers and musicians. They did a marvellous job and should be congratulated. The scripting however is abysmal and a blatant copy of that at the Polynesian Cultural Centre up the road. This venue provides scholarships to Polynesian students to study at the Hawaii University and in return asks them to share their culture and history through volunteering in shows at the Cultural Centre. To me, that sounds like a good deal for both parties. But the SeaLife Park Luau show is a crude copy of these despite the best and honest efforts of SeaLife Park Luau performers.

So overall, I can only rate SeaLife Park Hawaii as average. It sorely needs updating and some TLC...and it needs to develop its own Luau show and performances without copying others.

This park is in need of updating but what it does well…is the intimate setting, the close interaction, no huge crowds, excellent trainers, education talks, sea animals are active and interactive. Dolphin show was great!

This was actually kind of sad. Place looked like its glory days are far behind it. Very few animals. Looked dry dull and dead. Like the fun and life from the place is gone. Feeding the birds was the highlight for the family. I can’t really explain it. Felt more LOS ANGELES than anything remotely Hawaii. Crew was nice and helpful but the overall vibe of the place was just dead. Like the color and happiness was taken. Then too it off with the super expensive EVERYTHING. Probably trying to make up for the lack of guests now. Not really sure but to have read about it and seen pictures and then visit was two very very different experiences. Was one of those scenarios like a cheeseburger in the picture looks amazing. But when you get it. It’s just a plain regular cheeseburger.

Suprised at the level of quality in both the exhibits, the presenters and the care of the animals. Since all were either rescued from hostile circumstances or born at the park, it felt good to see the big spacious areas and the animals seeming to enjoy their homes. We liked the animal highlights happening every half hour and very impressed they didnt cost extra. Each show had interaction with the animals with interesting info and history on each one. Highly recommend! The waikiki trolley stops here and a day of both will be one of your best family days on Oahu.
