Alcatraz tour is an excellent historical tour, you can see San Francisco bay and Golden Gate bridge from the island and from the ferry. During the visit to Alcatraz you can see everything at the prison. Good customer service, secure and affordable. I recommend this...More

Even though I'm a SF native, a trip to Alcatraz Island should be on your day trip planner. A nice ride across the bay and loaded with great history of San Francisco Bay. Get your warm coat, hat and gloves and get going!

The audio tour brings Alcatraz to life. It has always been one of my places to visit on holiday . It did not disappoint. I recommend booking your visit in advance.

Definitely worth going to if first time in San Francisco. The audio guide is really well done and keeps everyone moving through the areas well and really informative. Good views of San Francisco as well - even on a rainy day that we had.

Entertaining and historical with interesting facts about life on The Rock from both the prisoners and staff ( and their families). Great views of San Francisco Bay. The highlights include the cell and dummies from the 1963(?) escape as well as Al Capone’ cell.

I don't believe there is much, if any, parking at the Embarcadero. Would recommend taking taxi/Uber or public transportation.
