Very interesting trip - audio guides easy to follow and kids enjoyed this mysterious place. Refurbishing some buildings so will be even more to see in the future!

Great value and a great family day out. Don't turn up on the day for tickets. We booked our tickets online and printed them off at home. Simples! Book early to avoid disappointment.
It has an interesting history. The guided video tour is very specific and helps you through the prison. The grounds are very imposing given the distance from land.
Excellent visit, perfect balance between enough detail to be interesting without there being too much to make the visit overbearing. The Island and prison is kept very authentic. Regular ferry access makes visit length flexible. Book in advance. Highly recommend.
