It’s a tower so it’s not exciting but it’s worth checking out. I believe the price for an adult is $9. Kind of steep for a tower but yeah well. It has a great 360° view. You can see Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge, the piers,...More

I had planned to walk up to Coit Tower but it was a very warm day so I decided to take the bus rather then walk the steep streets instead. Bus 39 goes to Coit Tower and the very nice filipino driver was happy to...More

Visiting coit tower was my absolutely favorite! Although the line to get to the elevator was long, it was definitely worth it. Once you get to the top you have a 360° aerial view of all of San Francisco which was absolutely breath taking. (Picture...More

I was walking around San Francisco and saw that Coit Tower was close to where I was. I went to check it out and observed some great views of the Bay Bridge, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. There are some plaques up in the...More

After overcoming another set of great Steps, Coit Tower is worth the effort. Amazing murals at ground level tell a great story, the views from the top are as good as any you will get in the city. Definitely one for any itinerary for travellers.

The tower can be seen from much of the Bay area, so nice to go to it. Trees and greenery growing in the arena block - alas - much of the would be view once there. But enough to see that it’s worth being there....More

Partner and l caught the local bus to Coit Tower. The bus will take you right to the base of the tower. Situated on top of Telegraph Hill and completed in 1933, Lillie Hitchcock Coit left a substantial bequest to the city for it to...More

We walked to the Coit Tower from our hotel, and loved walking the winding trails and reached the top of Telegraph Hill! The view was magnificent! However, we arrived before the tower was open so I am unable to comment on the murals inside!

This was our first stop on our last day in San Francisco we arrived approximately 45 minutes after the opening (we drove down Lombard St. on the way) time. There was a modest wait to buy tickets but the longer wait was for the ride...More

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian
ristorante come together to create the charming
neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.

I suggest you read what is written on the website, and, if you don't trust what you read, email (or call if you can locate a number), and ask?!

The only way is the elevator . But if you want steps, you could walk up the 483 steps from Filbert to get to the tower itself! We did it and we are 60+ . And yes, we were happy to see the elevator inside. They also give a... More
